Nominet UK is the national registry for .uk domain names. The
registry contains information on who the domain is legally registered to.
No matter which company you buy the Internet domain name from, they will
have informed the online registry that it has been purchased for you, and
it is then your responsibility to register it. Once registered you can
download a certificate of registration. Similar registries exist in other
countries, for example for .au or .com domain names.
Registration has already been done and a copy of the
certificate of registration is held in the computer room. However, you can
at any time change the registration details, not the legal registrant, or
print off a new certificate by logging on to Nominet. Details are as
